QUAD A - AOCA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR 2023
Posted below are the scholarship applications received by Quad A for grandchildren of AOCA members. We have 11 applicants for three AOCA sponsored awards. It has been moved and approved by the Executive Board to award eight additional $1,000 scholarships to those not initially chosen. Adequate funds are available to fund the extra awards.
Taking this action is fundamental to our founding principles of doing all we can to keep alive the legacy of the great Army Otter-Caribou Association. We need to do this as long as we can. The Association encourages donations to this important program.
Please "click" on the Scholarships tab at the top of this page for donation information and how to apply for an award for your descendant.

So, was the interview with the West Point Center for Oral History named. Bill Upton related his story and came away unscathed but impressed. "What an honor to be included in the telling of a small (very small) portion of the history of the the AOCA and its members."

DO YOU WANT TO KEEP THE GREAT ARMY OTTER-CARIBOU ASSOCIATION ALIVE?
Yes, it’s a fact that we’re not doing a huge reunion anymore, but that shouldn’t spell our demise. After all, we are still publishing the Logbook at least twice a year and publishing special editions every once in a while.
And what about this new website? Bruce and I are not calling it quits (health permitting). The Logbook and the website combined will keep you informed on current happenings within the membership and provide you with some “Rockin’ Chair” material. Plus you can do research on past members in the Logbook, enjoy special articles, scan the Memorial Roster and our collection of heritage photos.
At present, AOCA’s mission is to keep you informed, keep our heritage alive and the continued support of our scholarship program in conjunction with the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA).
And, since we’re no longer collecting dues, there are ways you can personally help us to continue our mission. One is to to consider making a donation that will offset any administrative expense and add to our Scholarship Fund. Another way is to write an article for the Logbook. We’ve yet to hear of any member whose writing hand is so mangled that they can’t write a letter or punch a keyboard.
Please, if you so choose, send a tax deductible donation to Bsilvey@aol.com .
Thanks,
Bruce and Bill
